Links on this page go to brands' own pages as sources.

For shorter riders, first:

  • Velotric Fold 1 Plus: Size chart starts at 4'9" (passes the 5'2" screen)
  • Lectric XP4 750 Long-Range: Size chart starts at 4'10" (passes the 5'2" screen)

Choose the Fold 1 Plus if

  • It's 4.1 lb lighter: easier to carry and to hold up at stops
  • It costs $100 less on the brand site (prices checked 2026-11-05)
  • Its brand-suggested height range goes higher, to 6'5"
  • Not in our data yet: what the weight limit includes.

Choose the XP4 750 Long-Range if

  • It lists 10 Nm more motor torque. Brands measure torque differently, so whether it climbs better is untested
  • Its battery stores 232 Wh more energy; real range also depends on the motor, your weight, assist level and route
  • Not in our data yet: what the weight limit includes.

Why we compare these two

Two folding e-bikes whose size charts start lower than almost any other bike in our catalog with a strong motor. Shorter riders who also need to store a bike in a small space compare these. See the full commuter e-bikes for shorter riders (5'2" and under) guide.

How each does on our three screens

Screens sort our catalog by published specs. They are not a fitting, a climbing test or a carrying test.

Returns, if you ride it and change your mind

Velotric Fold 1 Plus:

If you ride it and send it back: 14 days from delivery. Stated restocking charge $200 if unused; prepaid label after approval. Ridden: Velotric's page is unclear about returning a ridden bike, so don't count on it. Velotric may also deduct delivery signature, return shipping and insurance, and doesn't publish how much. Refusing delivery costs $200. Unclear in the policy: Policy lists a 22% fee for used bikes but also lists 'used products' as non-returnable. Seller's return policy (read 2026-10-31).

Lectric XP4 750 Long-Range:

Returns at this price: Lectric decides returns case by case and says all sales are final once a bike ships. A return needs a good reason Lectric accepts, written authorization first and the original packaging; the bike must be unused (an e-bike that has been ridden is not eligible) and not kept 14 days. A restocking fee of up to $300 may apply and you pay return shipping.

If you ride it and send it back: Buyer pays return shipping plus a restocking fee of up to $300 at Lectric's discretion. A return is not guaranteed: the bike must be unridden, kept under 14 days and returned for a reason Lectric accepts. Seller's return policy (read 2026-10-31).
